Shea is currently the Assistant Costume Designer for the James Cameron’s Avatar Franchise, a proud member of The Costume Designer’s Guild (IATSE Local 892), and an Independent Costume Consultant for Animation and Interactive Media. She also works as a Costume Designer, Stylist, Seamstress and Creative Director based in Los Angeles. She earned AA’s in both Fashion Design and Costume Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and a B.S. in Management from the University of Phoenix.

Since moving to LA, she has designed independent films, music videos, and commercials and has assisted on studio productions, world tours, celebrity editorial shoots and video game development.

Shea’s experience on Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and the upcoming intallments of the Franchise has helped her to become an industry expert in applying practical costume design to animation and game development. Her work with WetaFX and ILM allows her to navigate post-production, VFX, and animation pipelines with ease. Her work with Ubisoft, Tencent Games, and Disney Games has allowed her to work in real time collaborating with vendors and studios to enhance their games character designs and player purchasable assets through targeted costume consulting both conceptually and within their game engines. A proud member of IndieCade, Shea is passionate about bringing production level costume resources to game developers.
